If you’re descended from Zacharie Cloutier a French colonist who settled in the Beauport area of Quebec near modern-day Quebec City in 1634 and his wife, Sainte (Xainte) Dupont, or Jean Guyon du Buisson, a French colonist and his wife, Mathurine Robin, who also settled in Beauport in about 1632, you’re probably related to a number of famous people. These celebrities includ Céline Dion, Madonna, Angelina Jolie, Shania Twain, Justin Bieber, Justin Trudeau, Beyoncé, Meghan Trainor, Queen Camilla, Alanis Morissette, Jack Kerouac and Hilary Rodham Clinton.

By 1800, Cloutier had 10,850 descendants — the most of any Quebec colonist, according to marriage records studied by PRDH, the Historical Demography Research Program, at the Université de Montréal.
