Free webinar with Lisa Louise Cooke about genealogy on iPads and tablets

Lisa Louise Cooke is my kind of speaker — no matter what the topic. She could talk about building a barn, and I would enjoy the presentation and learn from her. The good news (for us) is she is talking about genealogy this week.

Legacy Family Tree presents Genealogy on the Go with iPads and Tablets, Wednesday, January 7, 2:00 p.m. Eastern time.

Technology has brought much more than the convenience of digitized genealogical records to our home computers. It has also delivered an incredible level of portability to family history research! iPads and tablets are built for hitting the road and are ideally suited for genealogy due to the sleek lightweight size, gorgeous graphics and myriad of apps and tools. In this class you will discover the top apps and best practices that will make your mobile device a genealogical powerhouse!

Register here to watch the live presentation.

I expect it will be available for free for about a week, but don’t wait until the last minute. The last Legacy webinar was supposed to be available until December 24, which I thought meant it was still available on December 24. My gifts were wrapped, the Christmas dinner table was set, and I was ready to learn. So, I poured myself a cup of tea and clicked on the link only to discover an elf had turned off the switch and gone home early. (I sent a friendly note, but no word yet about which elf I should blame.)
