Quebec City’s historical society, La Société historique de Québec, has given its website a facelift. While the website could still publish much more information, it has a fresh, clean look and the menu has been simplified. Now that the society has a professional-looking site, they promise to add more content in the coming weeks.
For visitors who have difficulty reading the society’s French-only website, I suggest you first look at the links page, Liens d’intérêt, for a list of organizations in the greater Quebec City area and environs that may be able to help you with your family history research. It is through this page that I first found Irish Heritage Quebec’s website that I wrote about in yesterday’s post about Online resources about the Irish in Quebec.
Thank you Gail, I’ve just book marked the Quebec City’s historical society website. You’ve perked my interest to return to researching a line on my French Canadian line. I’m going to hang out the “Gone Fishing” sign on my front door today and do some researching! Oh, that would be Ice Fishing, it’s still cold in Montreal.
