Genealogy boot camp recording and handout available for free

If you missed Thomas MacEntee and Lisa Alzo’s Holiday Special Boot Camp about genealogy this weekend, you now have a chance to watch the three-hour recorded version and read the handouts. Both are excellent presenters.

During the Boot Camp, Mr. MacEntee and Ms. Alzo covered a wide-range of genealogy topics, such as foreign records research, cluster and collateral research, Google searching, immigration and naturalization, family history writing, and organizing research. If you don’t have time to watch the entire three hours, no problem. They have kindly time stamped the topics so that we can jump to specific topics on the recording.

The normal price of a Boot Camp is $12.95. (I have attended two of them so far.) In the case of this latest live Boot Camp, attendees decided how much to throw in the hat, just to say thanks. For Mr. MacEntee and Ms. Also, “It didn’t matter what folks paid or even if they paid anything. Lisa and I just wanted people to come ready to learn and to have fun.”

For the recording and the handout, you may want to donate a few dollars once you have seen the quality of the handout and you have learned some new genealogy tricks. It is up to you. Twenty-five percent of all proceeds benefit the Preserve the Pensions project to preserve and digitize War of 1812 pension files.

Thanks, Thomas and Lisa!
