Compton County museum wants to help genealogists with their research

If your ancestors lived in Compton County in Quebec’s Eastern Townships, the Eaton Corner Museum wants to help you with your family history research.

According to the Museum’s website, the Museum has genealogical information on thousands of families in the region, as well as volumes of Townships history, individual family histories, ancestral charts and other documents available for study. Even if you do not find what you are looking for, the Museum says, “You’re sure to discover something fascinating along the way.”

The Museum has recently taken over responsibility for the Centre d’archives du Haut-Saint-François of the (now dissolved) Société d’histoire et patrimoine du Haut-Saint-François. These archives are also be available for study and research.
