Looking for a fun way to share family history stories with relatives at your next get-together?
Ancestry this week released a video on YouTube of Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams playing a game, called 2 Lies and a Leaf, that tests their knowledge about their family.
All they need to do is answer simple questions, and there are three possible answers. One answer — a leaf — is correct. The other two are lies.
Fans of the American sitcom Modern Family will recognize Sarah Hyland as Haley Dunphy, the oldest child of Phil and Claire Dunphy, and fans of The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise will know Wells Adams. The couple married in August last year.
The voice of the off-camera host sounds like Lisa Louise Cooke of Genealogy Gems.

keep the questions and answers interesting — and short.
During the 12-minute game, Sarah and Wells win a point for each correct answer.
Wells’ first question is about his great-grandfather Vincente Maltes from Portugal.
Before the question is asked, the host provides context with one or two sentences of background information, such as when Vincente Maltes immigrated to the United States. Unfortunately, Vincente got into trouble in his new country.
Here are the questions and possible answers.
Question: What kind of trouble did great-grandfather Vincente Maltes get into?
Possible answers: A) He was a gambling “bookie.” B) He was a bootlegger. C) He ran a secret boxing club.
One of Sarah’s questions is about what happened on her great-grandfather’s flights during the Second World War.
Once the question is answered, the player can open a memory box — or envelope — that could contain a newspaper article, photo or letter that provides further information about the answer.

So far, there are ten games on Ancestry’s YouTube channel where there are plenty of ideas for questions and answers.
