Family History Writing Challenge returns in February

For the 13th year, Lynn Palermo will host the Family History Writing Challenge that will be held throughout the month of February.

She is offering three levels in this year’s challenge. One level is free, the basic is US$27, and the intensive program is US$97.

First, there is a free pre-challenge webinar designed to help you get ready to write. This is open to everyone who registers.

The free level has been combined with daily writing prompts and writing sprints to help set you up for success.

Plus, the Facebook Community returns as a hangout for the month and a place to share your successes, struggles and stories if you wish.

If you would like to add a little skill building to your month of writing, there will be daily video lessons you can add to your challenge.

To heighten your experience even further, there will be three skill-building workshops in February. The skill-building workshops will focus on crafting scenes, creating suspense in stories, and writing strong and compelling antagonists.

You decide what you want to write. For example, you can choose to write ancestor profiles or a novel-length narrative, or maybe a collection of short stories or a memoir,

You decide how often you want to write, such as every day for two hours or three times a week.
