FamilySearch adds new record collections for Armenia, Belgium, France, Germany and Hungary

FamilySearch expanded its free online archives in July 2022 with over 35 million new, name-searchable genealogy records from 49 countries. Over a million records each were added for Armenia, Belgium, France, Hungary, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland and the United States (Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington). Thousands more were added for Austria, the Dominican Republic, England, Germany, Mexico, New York, Peru, South Africa, the Ukraine, and Venezuela.

The largest among the new collections are:

Armenia, Tax Lists, 1817-1917 1,092,016 records

Belgium, Liège, Church and Civil Registration, 1590-1947 1,543,489 records

France, Hautes-Alpes, Parish and Civil Registration, 1583-1902 4,560,838 records

Germany, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Catholic and Lutheran Church Records, 1639-1943 399,554 records

Germany, Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Catholic and Lutheran Church Records, 1664-1937 96,922 records

Hungary, Church Books, 1624-1950 7,603,730 records
