The Royal Canadian Legion’s 2021 Poppy campaign starts today.
Every year, from the last Friday of October to November 11, millions of Canadians wear a Poppy as a visual pledge to honour Canada’s veterans and remember those who sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Remembrance Poppy, inspired by Lt.-Col. John McCrae’s poem, In Flanders Fields.
You can read about this year’s Poppy campaign on the Royal Canadian Legion’s website and learn more about the 100th anniversary in the Legion’s video on YouTube.
