In John D. Reid’s latest YouTube video, Family Secret Revealed in Free Archival Canadian Newspapers Online: Canadawide Initiatives, he shares the good news that MyHeritage has added Canadian newspapers to its collection, and they’re full text searchable.
He writes on his blog, Canada’s Anglo-Celtic Connections, that MyHeritage has added 345 newspaper titles with almost seven million pages.
In his 24-minute video, John explores Google News Archive, Canadiana.ca, the Canada Gazette, and other newspaper resources that are “useful for exploring your hidden or forgotten Canadian family history.” It ends with his wish list for improvements.
