The International Institute of Genealogical Studies has added seven more presentations to its YouTube channel since I last wrote about their video channel in early May.
People whose ancestors were among the Peter Robinson Settlers from Ireland who settled in Ontario will be particularly interested in Cheryl Levy’s presentation, Canadian Settlers in Genealogical Records. Ms. Levy, who is a mentoring professor at the institute, also talks about TheShipsList website that disappeared about a year ago and what to do to retrieve the information that was once available on it.
In German Civil Registration, Drew von Hasslebach, mentoring professor at the institute, shares how and where to find your German ancestors in birth, marriage and death records.
Other new videos include:
United Empire Loyalists — More than You Expect by Cheryl Levy
Irish Genealogical Myths by Clare Bradley, director of Irish Studies.
Visit the International Institute of Genealogical Studies’ YouTube channel to see all of their videos.
