Webinar tonight — Online sources for Scottish genealogy research

This evening, Thursday, July 11, the Minnesota Genealogical Society will host a free webinar, Online Sources for Scottish Genealogy Research, presented by Christine Woodcock. It begins at 7:00 p.m. Central time, 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.

There comes a time when you have done all of the online researching you can do using the standard databases. In this talk, you will learn of databases that aren’t as well know but that can assist in breaking through your brick walls. These include:

ScotlandsPeople
FamilySearch
GenesReunited
National Library of Scotland
Websites for researching Scottish occupations
Websites specific to the genealogy of regions where your ancestors might have lived
Emigration databases
Military databases
Witchcraft databases
Medieval ancestry
British newspapers
Findmypast

Register to watch live. It will not be available afterward to non-members.
