Genealogists curious to learn more about the Guild of One-Name Studies may want to take a look at the webinar, All About the Guild.
During the webinar, Guild members lan R. Moorhouse, Tessa Keough and Julie Goucher provide a tour of the website, explain benefits and services the Guild offers, give an overview of what is planned for their 40th anniversary celebration at the conference/annual general meeting in March 2019, and share info about the PharosTutors courses for one-name studies and the 2019 webinar series.
A one-name study is a project that researches all occurrences of a surname, as opposed to a particular pedigree (ancestors of one person) or descendancy (descendants of one person or couple). A study may concentrate on aspects, such as geographical distribution of the name and the changes in that distribution over the centuries, or it may attempt to reconstruct the genealogy of the lines bearing the surname.
Almost 2,500 one-name studies have been registered and listed on the Guild website.
Also available to the public on the Guild’s website is the recording of the webinar, What We Do: An Introduction to One-Name Studies & the Guild.

Hello. This webinar looks interesting but the website indicates that it aired on Nov. 20. Am I mistaken, or is it being repeated? Thanks for your help.
The recording is now available. You are right that the webinar first aired November 20.
