Canadiana user survey

A week after the announcement about the more than 60 million pages on Canadiana becoming free to access January 1, 2019, an online survey has been created to learn how people currently use Canadiana and to share any feedback and input on new features or enhancements. This is not a survey for people who have never used the website.

In April 2018, the Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) — a not-for profit partnership of 75 Canadian universities — and Canadiana.org merged as a combined organization. The merger made it possible to make the Canadiana collections available at no cost to users.

CRKN is now preparing its next strategic plan (2019-2024) that will include a strategy for the services of Canadiana. As part of this strategic planning process, they want to engage users.

I’m just waiting for access!! I know I have seen things I would like to look at but there are only so many subscriptions I can pay for and I have so many countries to research. My roadblock has been no documents or even newspapers before 1800 in the area I need. Always the day after, the county over, that census doesn’t exist for that place, always something that just misses what I need. I have used the available sources all that I can and now I’m out of places to look. If there are church records somewhere, I hope someone finds them soon. I’m getting older every day.
