Are these the four ‘Best Canadian Genealogy Websites’?

Family Tree Magazine_2015Family Tree Magazine’s newly released 101 Best Websites for Genealogy in 2015 includes four websites in its Best Canadian Genealogy Websites of 2015. But are the Canadian sites the best?

Even though this list is identical to last year’s, it will likely generate some fiesty discussion on social media among genealogists north of the 49th parallel.

Since Family Tree Magazine is an American magazine the fact that the Canadian list only includes four websites should come as no surprise. But when you only list four, it is hard not exclude a number of good sites.

If you had to choose only four Canadian websites, are the following chosen as the Best Canadian Genealogy Websites of 2015 the ones you would choose?

Canadiana
Library and Archives Canada
Le Programme de Recherche en Démographie Historique
Nova Scotia Historical Vital Statistics

Do you know about nosorigines.ca – a french and english site that tracks individuals in French Canada from the earliest times. Each person is included only once and sufficient document must accompany the submission so that everything is as accurate as possible. I’ve found lots of my French ancestors there but lots are missing too. I haven’t got a lot of experience with the site but it’s worth a look.
