In response to COVID-19, self-isolation, and social distancing, the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society, from March 17 through April 3, is offering free webinars — nearly each day — for our genealogical community.
Today’s webinar is Before You Click: Developing an Online Research Plan, presented by D. Joshua Taylor, at 4:00 p.m. Eastern time.
Eager to make your online research more effective? Examine ways to sort, organize, and prepare for your time spent online – including preparing to research at commercial websites, genealogical society databases, and other online collections.
Registration is required for all of the webinars. I suspect they will fill up quickly, with so many people staying home. The complete list of webinars is here.
How can I get a Syllabus for the webinar “Before You Click: Developing an Online Research Plan”? I have tried several browsers with no luck in downloading the PDF.
It was an excellent webinar…….but I am a visual learner, not an auditory learner…..so the handout would be very helpful.
I would send an email to the New York Genealogical & Biographical Society. If there was a syllabus, I suspect it was made available only during the webinar.
They are rebroadcasting that particular webinar again on Saturday, March 21, 2020, at 11 am MDT
Thanks for sharing!
