Congratulations and happy anniversary to Brenda Dougall Merriman and the Ontario Genealogical Society. Thirty years ago, Ms. Merriman, a board-certified genealogist, speaker, writer, and blogger who also happens to have roots in Quebec, wrote Genealogy in Ontario: Searching the Records. Since then the book has become an indispensable resource for all of us researching our family history in Ontario.
A special 30th anniversary edition of Genealogy in Ontario is now available for purchase through the Ontario Genealogical Society’s e-Store.
Now, if Ms. Merriman would only write a similar book about genealogy in Quebec…
Great in congratulating Brenda Dougall Merriman on her contributions to the world of genealogists.
While we wait and hope Ms. Merriman will consider writing about genealogy in Quebec, Genealogy in Ontario: Searching the Records is on my reading list. After all not all our ancestors stayed in one place. You will never know if you don’t look outside the box and search other records.
Please email me information pertaining to the boundaries of….
