On Wednesday, February 10, at 7:30 p.m., the Société généalogique canadienne-française will present a lecture, Seigneurie de l’Île Jésus, by Sylvie Dépatie who holds a PhD in history.
Ms. Dépatie will discuss the history and colonisation of the Île-Jésus seigneury. Île Jésus is a large island next to the island of Montreal. The city of Laval occupies all of Île Jésus and Îles Laval.
The lecture will take place at the Maison de la généalogie, 3440 Davidson, Montreal. Admission is free.
