The Société de généalogie de l’Outaouais in Gatineau, Quebec, will present a lecture this Thursday, January 15, by Roger Blanchette about how to use genealogy as a teaching tool in history classes. During his lecture, La généalogie comme outil pédagogique dans l’enseignement de l’histoire, Mr. Blanchette will provide several examples of how to teach the history of Quebec by showing the students how the history of the province is part of their own personal history.
The lecture begins at 7:00 p.m. and will take place at the Maison de la culture, 855 de la Gappe Boulevard, Room 211, Gatineau. It will be delivered in French. Admission is free.
