Irish genealogy blogs

Here are some of my favourite blogs about Irish genealogy that may also help you with your research.

The British GENES Blog – Irish-born, Scottish-based professional family historian and author Chris Paton writes about top stories concerning British Isles ancestral research.

Canada’s Anglo-Celtic Connections – Ottawa-based John D. Reid writes about family history news and resources, primarily in the British Isles and Canada.

Irish Genealogy News – Irish blogger Claire Santry posts daily items about research tips and the latest record releases.

Irish Roots – John Grenham’s blog about Irish ancestry is published weekly on IrishTimes.com. Mr. Grenham has authored a number of books on ancestry. His book, Tracing Your Irish Ancestors, is a must-read for every Irish genealogist.

On a flesh and bone foundation: An Irish History – Jennifer Geraghty-Gorman is a Canadian genealogist, who blogs about the Irish who came to Canada and the US, and her family. Her blog also provides links to resources and is chock full of other info.
