Quebec historian and genealogist Marcel Fournier’s new book, Notaires en Nouvelle-France : Histoire et biographies, 1621-1763, about the history of notaries under the French Regime in New France, will be in book stores next Monday, March 4.
The 260-page book includes the biographies of 218 notaries who practiced in the colony, with references to where and when they were in business.
The book is available, in French only, from Renaud-Bray, Amazon, and other bookstores.
