Ancestry yesterday added Ontario marriage registrations for 1939 to its collection now called, Ontario, Canada, Marriages, 1826-1939.
Last week, Ancestry updated its Ontario births collection by adding records for 1917.
Will death registrations for 1949 be next? The Ontario, Canada, Deaths and Deaths Overseas, 1869-1948 was last updated in 2020. It’s possible the COVID pandemic delayed the release.
FamilySearch’s Ontario births collection spans 1869 to 1912, and it can be searched for free with a free account. The website also has Ontario marriages, 1869-1927 and Ontario deaths, 1869-1937 and overseas deaths, 1939-1947.
