This week, FamilySearch added 79,535 records to Quebec, Catholic Parish Registers, 1621-1979 for a total of almost 1.4 million images in this database. This collection contains searchable images of Catholic parish registers of baptisms, marriages and burials. It also includes some confirmations and some index entries for Montreal and Trois-Rivières.
Courtesy of CanadianHeadstones, FamilySearch also added 766,368 images to its searchable Canadian Headstones database. This database is an index of names that will direct you to the information and headstone photos on the CanadianHeadstones website. CanadianHeadstones is a family history database of records and images from Canada’s cemeteries. Volunteers capture images of headstones in a cemetery and upload them to the site.
