The Canadian War Museum is holding a virtual event on Thursday, February 24, about the contributions of Black Canadians to the country’s military history.
In this free virtual session, contemporary Black Canadian veterans will share stories of Black veterans from the First and Second World Wars, while Cadet Hakim Foyn will offer the perspective of Black youth.
These presentations will be followed by a question-and-answer period exploring contemporary experiences in the Canadian Armed Forces, as well as the military history of Black Canadians.
This free event starts at 1:00 p.m. Eastern time. It will take place in English with simultaneous translation in French.
More information and a link to register are available on the Canadian War Museum’s website.
