The Kingston & District Branch of the United Empire Loyalists’ Association of Canada invites anyone with an interest in Canadian history and Black history to attend their next virtual meeting on Saturday, September 25, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time.
The speaker will be award-winning author Jean Rae Baxter whose topic is “WHEREAS it is Unjust” — Upper Canada’s Role in the Fight to End Slavery. She says, “Many more Loyalists and others had Black ‘servants’ in Canada than one might think.”
