If you are interested in researching your ancestors’ First World War military service, Library and Archives Canada (LAC) is hosting an introductory webinar to demonstrate how to access Canadian Expeditionary Force service files online and to explore key documents from one service file in particular.
Called In the Trenches, the approximately one-hour webinar can be watched on LAC’s English Facebook page on Tuesday, November 10, at noon Eastern time. It is scheduled to last about an hour. No registration required.
Come prepared with your questions, and LAC will try to answer as many as possible during a live chat.
A French webinar will be available at 2:00 p.m. the same day on LAC’s French Facebook page.
In the meantime, if you want to search for a relative’s entire WWI military file on LAC’s website, you can do so anytime.
