Nova Scotia Archives has added an additional 24,625 historical vital statistics — birth, marriage, and death registrations — to its website.
These records were released on December 31, 2019, and since then, have been digitized, fully indexed and checked for quality control.
This year’s additions include 11,905 births for 1919, 5,997 marriages for 1944, and 6,723 deaths for 1969. The birth records include some ‘delayed’ entries for individuals born in 1919 or earlier, but not registered until a later date.
