In mid-May, Ontario Ancestors announced it had unlocked its webinar library to make many of the online presentations delivered during the past five years accessible for free until August 31.
Three-and-a-half months seemed like plenty of time to watch several of the more than two dozen presentations, especially since we’re staying home for the most part and social distancing.
Now, suddenly, the end of August is only three weeks from today.
The free webinars feature a variety of topics and well-known speakers. The freebies include:
- Bruce Durie: Using ScotlandsPeople for ALL Your Scottish Genealogy Needs
- Janice Nickerson: Tackling Research Challenges: The Genealogical Proof Standard In Practice
- Thomas McEntee: Did I Get Everything? – Creating a Checklist for Genealogy Research
- Donna Moughty: Navigating Online Sources for Irish Research
- Tammy Tipler-Priolo: Franco-Ontarians History & Genealogy
- Kirsty Gray: Researching your Ancestors before Civil Registration in England & Wales
- David B. Appleton: Finding Your New England Ancestors
- Tina Beaird: Scotland’s Resources: There is more to Scottish research than ScotlandsPeople!
- Dr Maurice Gleeson: A Step by Step Approach to working with your DNA Matches
To watch the entire webinar library for free, you must be an Ontario Ancestors member. If you join now until the end of the year, membership is half price — $37, instead of $63.
