If you tested your DNA with 23andMe, FamilyTreeDNA, AncestryDNA, or LivingDNA, and haven’t yet taken advantage of the opportunity to upload your results to MyHeritage for free, you may want to do so soon.
As of December 1, 2018, MyHeritage’s policy regarding DNA uploads will change.
After the deadline, you will still be able to to view your DNA matches for free, but unlocking additional DNA features, such as the chromosome browser and ethnicity estimate, will require an extra payment.
MyHeritage will announce the full details of the new policy once it is finalized, closer to December 1.
If you have already uploaded your DNA data to MyHeritage or plan to do so before December 1, you will continue to enjoy at no cost full access to all MyHeritage DNA features. MyHeritage said, “These uploads will be grandfathered in and will remain free.”
So, don’t think about it any longer, just do it.
