The British Isles Family History Society of Greater Ottawa (BIFHSGO) and the Ontario Genealogical Society (OGS) both have conference-related deadlines this week.
Early bird registration
The deadline to take advantage of the early bird registration for BIFHSGO’s annual conference, September 28 to 30, 2018, in Ottawa, is Friday, August 17.
This year’s conference themes are Scottish family history and DNA, and there are presentations on other topics.
BIFHSGO’s conference attracts almost 300 people every year, and they hold a well-run, educational, and friendly event with a good marketplace.
Call for presentation proposals
The OGS 2019 annual conference takes place June 21 to 23, in London, Ontario, and the deadline to submit presentation proposals is this Sunday, August 19.
The theme of the conference is Breaking Down Genealogical Barriers.
Speakers will receive an honorarium, expenses, and complimentary conference registration. Multiple proposals are encouraged. Details are available on the OGS website.
