When I tell people, especially relatives, they should upload their DNA results for free to GEDmatch, some ask, “How many people are on it?”
Alon Keinan tweeted the answer to me. He’s an associate professor in the department of Biological Statistics and Computational Biology at Cornell University.
He wrote, “GEDmatch.com has 900,000 users with [a] genetic kit uploaded, with [about ] 1,500 joining daily. And 88,000 GEDCOMs trees uploaded, with [about ] 100 added daily.”
