Fun, easy activity for genealogy societies and family get-togethers

When promoting yesterday’s British Isles Family History Society of Greater Ottawa’s (BIFHSGO) monthly meeting, genealogy blogger John D. Reid wrote about a fun quiz that other societies may want to do. A version of this quiz would also be simple to do at a family gathering.

I could tell you here about the quiz, but then you wouldn’t need to visit John’s blog, Canada’s Anglo-Celtic Connections, and that wouldn’t be nice, would it?

Thanks for the mention Gail. Folks enjoyed the challenge. I’ll hope to have a post on my blog tomorrow on the results.

Thanks for the mentioning our quiz. It was a lot of fun and really encouraged people to socialize with each other. Although most people found it more difficult than I thought they would, they all seemed to have fun “guessing”. We were very grateful for the prizes offered by Ancestry (Leslie Anderson) and Global Genealogy (Rick and Sandra Roberts). Some members suggested that baby photos of the Board memebers might be easier – a good idea for next year!
