This weekend, the Fort McMurray Branch of the Alberta Genealogical Society (AGS) launched a new website, presenting a clean, modern look. The site was designed by member Lyn Meehan.
Genealogists will want to take a look, in particular, at the Research resources the branch offers, including an online Canada-wide index of the Wesleyan Methodist Baptism registers, from 1825 to 1910. The index provides the child’s and parents’ names, residence, birthplace, date of birth, date of baptism, baptism place, and minister’s name.
The Fort McMurray Branch was developed from the Fort McMurray Genealogy Study Group that originated in 1983.
