Free FamilySearch webinars in August

FamilySearch announced its free family history webinars and classes at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah, for August 2017. Participants can attend online or in person.

Many of the August classes teach how to research records in Great Britain, China, and Prussian Poland, to understand DNA, and to use documents and photos to preserve memories. Some classes are also in Spanish.

Thursday, August 10, 5:00 p.m. Eastern time
DNA: I’ve Tested; Now What? (Intermediate)

Monday, August 14, noon Eastern time
Monday, August 21, noon Eastern time
Monday, August 28, noon Eastern time
Using the FamilySearch Catalog Effectively (Beginner)

Thursday, August 17, 3:00 p.m. Eastern time
Tracing Ancestry in English Census Records (Beginner)

Thursday, August 24, 3:00 p.m. Eastern time
Genealogical Treasures at (Intermediate)

The full schedule of webinars and links are available in the announcement in the FamilySearch Newsroom. Online classes are noted on the schedule as webinars. There is no registration. To attend, simply click on the link next to the class title at the scheduled date and time.

Most sessions are recorded and can be viewed at a later date at Family History Library classes and webinars.
