‘Fearless females’ month begins today

Lisa A. Alzo kicks off Women’s History Month, taking place in the US and Australia, with a series of 31 blogging prompts to encourage genealogists to write about the fearless females in their family. (Women’s History Month takes place in Canada in October.)

Ms. Alzo writes, “You can choose to do some of the prompts, or all of them — there’s no pressure — it’s meant to be a fun exercise to focus on the women and make sure their stories are told!”

Learn more about the fearless females writing prompts on Ms. Alzo’s blog, The Accidental Genealogist.

However, this is for the United States. Canada’s Women’s History month is October. You can learn more about that here, on the Status of Women Canada website: http://www.swc-cfc.gc.ca/commemoration/whm-mhf/what-quoi-en.html

That is correct, Diane, which is why I mentioned in the opening paragraph it takes place in the US and Australia in March, and in October in Canada. Thanks for sharing the link. 🙂
