The South Peace Regional Archives in Alberta is building an online memorial to remember all soldiers from South Peace who served our country. They want to eventually acknowledge all South Peace soldiers for their service.
The regional archives is starting with soldiers who served during WWI. Later, they will add soldiers from other conflicts. So far, they have listed more than 900 soldiers.
Volunteer opportunity
Members of the general public may volunteer to contribute to the project from their home. All you have to do is select a soldier’s name from the list, download the form to complete, and research the soldier’s service. Links to local and national, such as service files at Library and Archives Canada, are provided on the South Peace Regional Archives’ website to help you.
The regional archives is also looking for anyone who may own photos, letters, papers, or biographies of a soldier from the South Peace area that could be added to the website.

I love your posts about useful websites, but find it frustrating that I can never find a link to the websites you write about. It usually never a problem finding them on Google, but it would be so much more convenient if you included a clickable link to the site. I do appreciate that this particular article includes the actual URL, but it’s not possible to click on it and be taken directly to the site. If it were easier to get from your posts to the websites you write about, I’d be more likely to share your blog post on social media. Thanks.
Thanks for letting me know I forgot to include a link to the website. It has now been added at the end of the blog post.
I am surprised, however, that you can never find a link to the websites I write about. With the exception of this post (until now), I always include a link when relevant. Usually you will find the hyperlink toward the end of the blog post. Perhaps you have not noticed them. Look for the underlined, purplish-coloured text in a post and click on it. That will take you to another website.
Please let me know if there are some links I have missed.
