For this year’s RootsTech conference, more than 300 genealogy classes are scheduled, and most of them have a handout that is available to anyone to download through a free mobile app, whether you attend or stay home.
While reading handouts is not as good as attending a class or watching some of the presentations that will be live streamed, it’s the next best thing for those of us not travelling to the Salt Lake City conference from February 27 to March 2.
The app is available for download from the App Store and the Google Play Store.
One the app is downloaded, select Conference Schedule on the main menu to scroll through the classes.
The PDF icon next to the time of a class indicates a handout is available. Select a class that interests you and scroll to the bottom to find the handout. From there, you can select Take Notes on Handout to read it on your smartphone or tablet, download, or email it.
If you downloaded the RootsTech app last year, simply tap on Refresh and it will automatically update for this year.
The free live stream schedule is available on the conference website.
Gail, thank you so much for this information. I appreciate it!
