When I wrote about the more than four dozen newly added Canadian newspapers on Newspapers.com in the blog post, Newspapers.com adds more newspapers from British Columbia, Ontario and Nova Scotia, I forgot to include three additional ones from Brampton, Ontario.
My only excuse is that my great-great-grandparents George Gooderham and Emily Burrows settled in Brampton, just west of Toronto, and I was distracted by my own research in these papers where I found Emily’s obituary.
The most likely reason, however, for omitting them is that my transcribing skills were overwhelmed by all the newspaper titles, locations, and available dates.
In the October 14 blog post, I had only written that the Brampton Times, from 1867 to 1874, was available.
Thanks to Nick, who told me about my omissions, I will now share the three I missed.
