The Musée de la Gaspésie museum in Gaspé, Quebec recently uploaded more than 3,000 historic photos to its website, creating an online collection of almost 4,000 images.
The photos are divided into several albums, from Agriculture to Transportation. A description of each photo can be found by selecting an image and then clicking on Details in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
The images can also be browsed in English by album title, but there are no descriptions of the individual photos available in English at this time. The descriptions are all written in French on the French side of the website, and they can be easily translated on GoogleTranslate.
The search box at the top of the screen can also help narrow down searches. A search of Anglican, for example, produced a number of old photos of Anglican churches in the region.
