Video of Ian Tyson performing with military band to honour Canada’s WWI history worth watching

At the time I wrote the post, Country singer Ian Tyson sees father’s WWI service file for the first time, I could not find the Heritage Canada video where Tyson sings his song, Four Strong Winds, with a military band. This is a video in Heritage Canada’s project that pairs iconic songs and military bands to honour Canada’s WWI history.

Well… thanks to Heather, here is the link to the video.

Speaking about the project, The Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, said, “As we prepare to celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary in 2017, these commemorations likely will encourage Canadians to understand more about our history, especially about the First and Second World War, and reaffirm our pride in our achievements.”
