  1. That was an e-mail offer sent perhaps to ‘lapsed’ customers. It’s certainly sent to one particular person (includes some personal info). I’m interested to know if Ancestry honours it for anyone.

Susan had a long conversation with the Ancestry rep who told her the discount is for everyone, new and long-time subscribers. I plan to call today or tomorrow to renew my subscription, and will let you know.

I’m curious if the World subscription would work for us here in the US. Any thoughts or insight on that?

    • Gail Dever says:

The World subscription is the same on Ancestry.ca, .com, and .uk.

      • Anne Faulkner says:

Thanks Gail! I fiddled around with this yesterday – looks like I COULD use the 40% off – but I then would have Ancestry.ca (all my trees are there) but would not have access to my DNA, since it’s not offered in Canada – boy! Ancestry sure does make it hard to like them!

        • Gail Dever says:

Well, that’s disappointing. As a World subscriber, I flip between both .com and .ca. Same databases. When I first subscribed, .ca did not exist.
