National Archives releases second set of WWI unit war diaries

Today The National Archives announced it has published the second batch of 3,987 digitized WWI unit war diaries from France and Flanders. They said that the “collection now covers all of the cavalry divisions and the first 33 infantry divisions deployed on the Western Front.”

I was also pleased to read that more than 10,000 people from around the world have volunteered to participate in TNA’s Operation War Diary project to tag names, places and other details in the diaries. Kudos to those who volunteer.
