The Quebec Family History Society will hold a conference in Montreal from June 19 to 21, 2015.
Called Roots 2015, the conference offers several lectures about Quebec genealogical research, such as coroner files at the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec, Quebec land and probate records, and the War of 1812 in Quebec.
Other topics include DNA testing, finding your WWI Canadian ancestors, and self-publishing your family history. The keynote speech will be delivered by Rick Roberts of Global Genealogy.
The opening ceremony and banquet will be held at the Omni Hotel in the downtown core, while the majority of conference events, such as the lectures and genealogical resource fair, will be held at the McGill University Residence Hall on Avenue du Parc.
More information about the conference schedule, fees, and accommodations is available on the society’s website.
