Updates on Drouin Institute’s Généalogie Québec website

Drouin Institute logoThe latest updates on the Drouin Institute’s Généalogie Québec website include the following:

1. Corrected names and places from 1926 to 1945 in Marriages 1926-1997.

2. Added 2,929 mortuary cards for a total of 54,113.

3. Added 62 Protestant and Catholic cemeteries in Quebec and Ontario. There are now 950 cemeteries online. The list and number of entries is available here.

4. Added pages of marriages indexed from family trees produced by the Drouin Institute between 1913 and 1957. There are now 79,727 pages from 203 family trees.

5. You can now search for family names in the 293,402 pages contained in the Drouin Institute’s eight large genealogy collections, including the Acadian and Gabriel-Drouin.

Généalogie Québec is a subscription-based website and most of the research tools are available in French and English.

Généalogie Québec offers free online access to more than 1.4 million obituaries from across Canada. The obituaries begin in 1999 and come from more than 250 sources. You can search by name, date of publication, or browse by last name.
