Journées de la culture — Quebec’s Culture Days

This weekend, from September 26 to 28, is Culture Days — Journées de la culture across Canada, a celebration of arts and culture, and many genealogy societies are participating.

The Canada-wide Culture Days began in 2009, inspired by the success and impact of Quebec’s Journées de la culture weekend that had been running since 1997. The national initiative was initiated by the country’s largest arts organizations.

To mark Quebec’s Culture Days —  Journées de la culture, several genealogy societies will open their doors to the public. This is an opportunity for people who may be interested in pursuing their family history to kick the tires and find out how a society can help them.logo-journeesdelaculture2012The following genealogy societies will participate in Journées de la culture.
