Close to twenty years of past issues of the British Isles Family History Society of Greater Ottawa’s quarterly journal, Anglo-Celtic Roots, are available to read online for free on the society’s website. The journals feature articles on Canadian and British Isles family and social history as well as genealogical research techniques and practices.

If you are not a member, you can read all of the issues, with the exception of the latest year, which is a great deal. If you are a member, you can read all issues online.

The British Isles Family History Society of Greater Ottawa was founded in 1994 and is located in Ottawa, Ontario. The society encourages family history research and its dissemination by people with ancestry in the British Isles. To join the society, visit its Membership page. Annual membership is $40. Half-price 2014 memberships are available now for new members.

The society’s 20th annual conference takes place September 19 – 21, 2014 at Library and Archives Canada in Ottawa. Learn more about the conference here. Note that online registration closes September 12. After that, you will have to pay at the door.
