Many of us would like to write a book about our family history, but we struggle to get started.
Perhaps we can draw inspiration from certified genealogist Carol Walsh from Ontario, who released her new self-published book, Waves of Steel: A Shipbuilder’s Legacy.
The book is a WWII memoir that follows her grandfather’s journey from Scotland to Canada.
If you haven’t started writing your own family history, don’t give up hope. Ms. Walsh first thought about writing in the 1970s when her daughter was born.
You can read about the book in the Cochrane Eagle article and in the book’s listing on Amazon.
In 2022, the Cochran Eagle published an article about a children’s story that Ms. Walsh wrote, also based on her family history.
