Cambridge, Ontario musician Allison Lupton has launched a picture book, called Over the Ocean to Canada, based on her song about war brides who married Canadian servicemen during WWII and came to Canada.
The former music teacher recorded her song, Over the Ocean to Canada, 14 years ago.
Ms. Lupton also wrote the song, Away, about the more than 100,000 British Home Children who were sent to Canada between 1869 and 1939.
