The Canadian e-special interest group at the Genealogical Society of Collier County in Naples, Florida, with their free virtual presentations, has come to an end.
Al Turner, who was the facilitator of the eSIG, has decided to step down for personal reasons, and there is no one to replace him at this time.
During the past year, the number of subscribers grew from 44 to 255. This past May, a record number — 135 — attended Dave Obee’s presentation, Between Friends/Entre Amis: Cousins Across the Border.
The group’s subscribers lived mainly in Canada and the US, but also in the UK, Italy, and Australia.
