Summer isn’t over yet, so there’s still plenty of time to catch up on our reading — and perhaps an opportunity for us to learn what life was like for our Canadian ancestors.
Canada’s History has recommended more than 30 history books and placed them on their 2024 Summer Reading Guide. Topics include British Home Children, Louis Riel, military history, Indigenous history, Acadian clothing, Vancouver in the 1920s, and a sociocultural history about the multitude of ways children grew up in the 19th and 20th centuries.
